Maxxsonics Event to Benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Lake Zurich, IL. – Maxxsonics USA Inc's first ever SPL competition event held at the company's international corporate facility, June 24th and 25th, 2006 is to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Alden Stiefel, CEO and President of Maxxsonics USA Inc. announced today. Maxxsonics is the Lake Zurich, IL based parent company of the MB Quart, Hifonics, Autotek and Crunch car and home audio brands. Maxxsonics Car Audio Showdown competition event will be the first public showing of the company's new corporate center. During the events, Maxxsonics is sponsoring multiple product raffles for and accepting donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, with Kim Nemire from the local LLS chapter on hand to answer LLS questions.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society's mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Maxxsonics USA Inc. is campaigning to raise the level of awareness about Leukemia and Lymphoma in the younger generation because the signs and symptoms of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers are so similar to those of other more common and less severe conditions. Knowledge and awareness is key in the battle against these life threatening diseases. According to Alden Stiefel, Maxxsonics CEO, the company's simple goal is to cause a higher awareness about these blood diseases. Mr. Stiefel states "That if you or a loved one is feeling a loss of well-being or experiencing other troubling symptoms, such as a persistent low-grade fever, any unexplained weight loss, continual tiredness or shortness of breath, the best thing to do is see a health care provider without delay."
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society health agency is dedicated to curing and to improving the quality of life of patients and their families. The Society, established in 1949, as The de Villiers Foundation is today's Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that's commitment to fighting all blood cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society headquartered in White Plains, NY, has chapter offices across the United States and is a Not-For-Profit entity with nearly 1-million volunteers. The Chicago chapter LLS office will have representatives at the June 24th ands 25th Maxxsonics Car Audio Showdown in Lake Zurich, Illinois assisting with the daily car audio product raffle, with the proceeds going to this charitable Society.
